Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Frankfurt, Germany, October 1, 2025 – Leaseweb, a leading cloud services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, today announced the launch of NVIDIA L4 GPUs in its Public Cloud platform, bringing NVIDIA GPU acceleration to Leaseweb’s sovereign cloud for the first time and extending its AI-ready infrastructure beyond dedicated servers.
The NVIDIA L4 is a versatile GPU that enables organisations to accelerate processing for workloads such as AI inference, machine learning, video rendering, graphics and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). By making L4 GPUs available in the cloud, Leaseweb is providing customers with additional levels of flexibility and cost efficiency for variable or short-term use cases, while maintaining the advantages of data sovereignty within European data centres.
Customers can choose instances with between one and four GPUs, supported by multiple CPU and disk configurations. The service also offers 99.99 per cent availability and transparent pricing with pay-per-use options charged by the hour or month. This allows businesses to scale usage as required, without the vendor lock-in often associated with hyperscale providers. To simplify adoption, Leaseweb’s L4 instances are structured in line with widely recognised public cloud instance types, giving customers a familiar benchmark while also offering Leaseweb’s cost and sovereignty advantages.
Leaseweb estimates the new solution to be upwards of 30 per cent more cost-effective than comparable offerings from hyperscalers*, while still delivering the performance and reliability needed for demanding applications. Existing customers also benefit from the introduction of pay-per-use billing for GPUs, complementing the monthly subscription model already available.
“The launch of NVIDIA L4 GPUs in our public cloud is an important milestone in our strategy to expand GPU availability beyond dedicated servers,” said Liat Mendelson Honderdors, Principal Product Manager – AI and GPU at Leaseweb. “By offering pay-per-use flexibility alongside the advantages of a sovereign European cloud, we are enabling customers to run data-intensive workloads in a way that fits their needs. This is just the first step in our long-term plan to bring more GPU options to the cloud.”
*Cost reduction estimate is based on benchmarks of standardised workloads. Exact cost reduction will differ depending on the individual use case and workload.
