Amsterdam, Netherlands – June 16, 2026Leaseweb, a leading sovereign hybrid cloud services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, today announced the appointment of Estelle Azemard to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Leaseweb Canada. Azemard, who will be based in Montreal, will lead the continued growth and strategic expansion of Leaseweb Canada, strengthening the company’s position as a trusted provider of sovereign cloud, dedicated server, colocation, and hybrid infrastructure solutions for Canadian organizations navigating increasingly complex digital, AI, data sovereignty, and compliance requirements.

“Canadian organizations are looking at infrastructure differently today than they were even a few years ago,” said Azemard. "The conversation has morphed and it is no longer simply about moving everything to the biggest cloud provider. It's about choice. It's about flexibility and freedom. It's about data sovereignty. And, it's about making sure critical infrastructure decisions align with both business and IT priorities. Likewise, organizations want real partners they can call when they need help -- not endless layers of automation and support tickets." She continued, "That’s what makes Leaseweb Canada so compelling. We combine global-scale infrastructure with the kind of personal service and transparency customers increasingly value. I’m thrilled to be joining the company at such an exciting time and helping drive the next phase of growth across Canada.”

“We are fortunate to have Estelle joining Leaseweb Canada at this moment in the company’s evolution,” said Lex Boost, Co-CEO Leaseweb. “Customer demand for flexible, sovereign, highperformance infrastructure in Canada has never been higher, and it was clear that the time had come to move into our next phase of growth.” He continued, “Estelle brings a truly rare combination of understanding both the technology side of the business, as well as the economic, regulatory, and geopolitical forces reshaping how organizations think about cloud and infrastructure decisions. Likewise, she recognizes what Canadian organizations are looking for right now… trusted partners, operational transparency, infrastructure choice, and real human relationships.” He added, “Estelle, we believe, is uniquely positioned to help accelerate Leaseweb Canada’s growth and strengthen our role as a strategic infrastructure partner for businesses, government organizations, and digital innovators across Canada.”

With more than 16 years of experience in the cloud industry, Azemard brings a uniquely well-rounded mix of infrastructure expertise, international business leadership, legal and regulatory insight, and deep knowledge of the Canadian technology market at a time when organizations are rethinking everything from cloud strategy and AI to sovereignty and long-term control over their data. She served as Vice President at OVHcloud Canada, before Leaseweb Canada, where she helped establish and expand the company’s presence across Canada and Latin America. Azemard attended the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne where she studied law, and holds an MBA HEC Montréal. In addition, Azemard is a recognized advocate for digital sovereignty and trusted international digital ecosystems. Through her role as a Foreign Trade Advisor for France (CCEF) and her involvement with the Europe-Canada Digital Trade Alliance, she works to strengthen digital cooperation and trusted infrastructure relationships between Canada and Europe. Azemard believes Canada and Europe have a real opportunity to build a new generation of technology and digital infrastructure rooted not only in innovation and performance, but also in shared values around sovereignty, transparency, privacy, trust, and long-term digital independence.
