Environment
We understand the importance of sustainable environmental practices to minimize the impact on the world around us. Heavy internet infrastructures such as datacenters can cause serious issues in terms of excessive energy usage and wasteful consumption. That’s why we have invested heavily in green technology for servers and network equipment, as well as our datacenter infrastructure. In fact, most of our hosting services are already operating in a fully carbon-neutral environment. In addition, we also:
• Use energy-saving light bulbs
• Recycle all paper, printer cartridges and old mobile telephones.
• Select only the most energy-efficient company cars
• Have a bicycle program for our employees
Hosting Community
The webhosting industry is a relatively young market filled with the potential for innovation. It’s a very dynamic market where changes can happen overnight. That’s why LeaseWeb supports various initiatives to make the hosting market as transparent as possible and standardize good hosting practices. To further stimulate hosting developments, LeaseWeb shares its knowledge with the hosting community through LeaseWeb Labs. We also help various other non-profit organizations maintain an online presence through special programs.
Charities
LeaseWeb actively aids several regional and international charities, going further than just financial support. For instance, redundant computer equipment is sent to schools in Africa. Employees are also encouraged to take part in volunteer days to help local charities or good causes in their area.
