Amsterdam, 23 January 2018 – LeaseWeb announced today that it has reached Microsoft Datacenter Gold Partner status, based on its ongoing investments in Microsoft technology and expertise. The Gold Partner status is a strong confirmation that LeaseWeb is taking the right steps to be a trusted partner for companies dealing with questions of digital transformation in relation to their datacenter and cloud strategy.
Over the course of the past years, Microsoft has clearly shown that it is angling for a strong position in the cloud market, something that has resulted in its current second place position in the global public cloud segment, and already having Azure Stack lined up for the private cloud segment. As a result, many enterprises that are currently using Microsoft technology can now implement their cloud strategy while maximizing their current investments in Microsoft.
Attaining Gold Partner status is an important step for LeaseWeb in its drive to support companies facing strategic issues on how to shape their technology infrastructure in relation to their digital transformation. The global cloud services provider already has thousands of clients working on Microsoft technology that are moving towards cloud technology.

Achieving Microsoft Gold partnership status follows from LeaseWeb’s investment in the Microsoft cloud offerings through a beta program for Azure Stack, and the addition of an Azure Pack offering to its portfolio earlier in 2017. Currently LeaseWeb is one of the few Dutch cloud services providers running an Azure Stack beta program with enterprises and internet companies. This program offers both LeaseWeb and the companies taking part new insights in the journey to the cloud and where the biggest wins can be made.
