Amsterdam, 29 June 2016 – LeaseWeb, one of the world’s largest hosting brands, today announced that AFAS has extended its cloud hosting contract by three years. Due to the rapid growth of AFAS Online, the company required more capacity and a more powerful platform for end-users. AFAS will expand its private cloud infrastructure with a third data center location within the LeaseWeb network. This will make the platform more efficient, while optimal performance, security and scalability stays ensured.
AFAS has been a LeaseWeb customer since 2009 and has been using a hybrid cloud in recent years consisting of a private cloud and dedicated servers, spread out over multiple data center locations. Thanks to this solution, AFAS can make unlimited use of dedicated cloud resources, including cores, RAM and storage. LeaseWeb manages the entire platform - including back-up, disaster recovery and monitoring.
