Telehouse and LeaseWeb have built a strong relationship over the past several years. The expansion of LeaseWeb’s data center is the result of continued growth in the DACH region. LeaseWeb Germany will move into one of two recently completed suites in building complex ‘A’. The contract was signed in mid-March and a month later the suite was handed over.

The suite, which was custom laid for the power supply of 192 racks, features cold aisle containment to optimize the energy efficiency for all rack use. In addition, to further reduce the energy consumption and energy costs, LeaseWeb’s servers will be replaced with more energy-efficient, state-of-the-art hardware after two years. Telehouse, in its role as a service provider and data center operator, shares LeaseWeb’s high standards for energy-efficient operation. Prior to the contract being signed, both businesses jointly developed a concept to maximize energy efficiency. LeaseWeb and Telehouse agreed, among other things, on an optimum room temperature and air supply to keep only the cold aisles at a temperature of 23 degrees.

LeaseWeb offers with its extensive global network a bandwidth of 3,0 Tbps, with an uptime of 99.99999 percent and its own 3,0 Tbps backbone which connects the data centers in the U.S. and Europe. For a leading hosting and IaaS provider, the launch of its own cloud platform in Germany in December of last year was a further milestone and an important step in providing its worldwide customers with a broad portfolio of innovative IaaS solutions.

Herke Plantenga comments: "Working with Telehouse gives us the opportunity to further expand in the future. For us, it was very important to find a reliable, long-term partner who can keep up with our accelerated growth. As our infrastructure partner Telehouse provides the necessary levels of support which allows LeaseWeb to concentrate on our core business – delivering high levels of customer satisfaction."

"By offering dedicated servers, several colocation services and a robust cloud platform, LeaseWeb is a very agile customer, requiring scalability and space to enable its dynamic development. For their mission-critical applications we also provide 24/7 fully-secure uptime. We are very excited by, and committed to our work with LeaseWeb," added Dr. Béla Waldhauser, Chief Executive Officer of Telehouse Germany GmbH.
