LeaseWeb Expands Network, Support

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) - Dedicated hosting provider LeaseWeb announced on Thursday it has expanded its network and support department, and named four new network engineers to cover various operational services, including monitoring the hosting network, providing customers with hosting services and support, and providing sales support.By Justin Lee, theWHIR.com

In June, the company expanded its hosting network from 160Gbps to 210Gbps.
"Our network's large bandwidth and the capacity available in our data centers attracts customers from as far afield as Spain, Poland, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States," says Con Zwinkels, LeaseWeb's managing director. "The effect on our worldwide network has led to rapid growth. We need to have more people on standby to provide our 24x7 network management support services in all those time zones "
Dennis Kuik has been named LeaseWeb's assistant network engineer team leader because of his broad experience. Before joining LeaseWeb, he was senior network controller at the international banking organization SWIFT.
Jottie Tolatzis, who has served as a hardware support engineer at LeaseWeb for the past two and a half year, has been promoted to network engineer. Prior to joining LeaseWeb, Tolatzis was a second-line support technician at Interpay for more than five years.
After just a short period of time, Tim Vollebregt has been promoted from hardware engineer to network engineer. Vollebregt has previously worked as a system and network manager at Netherlands-based web hosting provider Worldstream.
James Higgins is the fourth new network engineer to be appointed. He previously held technical positions at ICT and PC4Everyone.
LeaseWeb provides services such as domain name registration, web hosting, dedicated servers, colocation, server virtualization and streaming. The company's network extends across four data centers in the Amsterdam region via major telecom carriers.
